In-Construction:
December 2009 - August 2010
Description:
During the 2006 construction of the MSU Bakery addition, it was discovered that the freezer insulation panels were filled with ice. The freezer walls now will be replaced to correct the problem. The project involves the replacement of the insulating panels with new high efficiency energy saving equipment. This will provide 20 percent better insulation value to the building. The security and access control enhancements will be included and the HVAC system which serves the office area of the building will be replaced. The higher-efficiency equipment will allow for better zone-level control, improved ventilation, and expected decrease in overall building energy use.
Timeline: Construction began in December 2009, and will be substantially complete by August 2010, with final completion by August 2011.
